KBS Engineering and Transportation Services has been building, supervising, and supplying civil works in Guyana since 2020: twelve completed projects, 35+ clients, 100% locally owned and Local Content certified. The six services below are what we are asked for most. We design in AutoCAD and hand over accurate, detailed, efficient plans: drawings that minimise errors on site and maximise constructability, so the crew is not solving the drawing while it is solving the building. The service covers site development blueprints, structural analysis, and architectural design, plus the design support that carries through to infrastructure construction, structural works, and bridge rehabilitation once the drawings are in the field.
Durable road construction, earthworks, paving, and rehabilitation for public and private-sector infrastructure: road preparation, rigid pavement works, asphaltic concrete placement, drainage coordination, and the field delivery that ties them together. KBS has completed rigid pavement at Diamond and Providence on the East Bank Demerara corridor and an asphaltic concrete road at Haslington Housing Scheme, East Coast Demerara.
A growing share of our work is technical support on sites other parties are building: we supervise, check, and sequence the work so it meets specification on the ground. That means construction planning, project management, and practical field guidance for civil works and logistics-led infrastructure: the engineer on the ground when a client needs one, without KBS holding the construction contract.
We prepare tenders end to end: scope documentation, technical narratives, bill-of-quantity take-off, pricing, and the finished document combined and submitted on time. Every part of it is backed by people who have actually delivered the works being described, so the submission reads as complete, measurable, and defensible when an evaluator opens it.
Rental support for contractors and site teams who need availability, practical specs, and a fast answer rather than a week of back-and-forth: blue metal props, silver-and-blue scaffolding, plate compactor, two-sack mixer, and concrete saw. Availability is confirmed over WhatsApp.
Alongside the plant, we provide surveying services and geotechnical analysis in support of site set-out, levels, and ground conditions.
Construction material delivered to sites on the coast and farther inland: sand, loam, stone, and crusher run, hauled by our own HOWO Sinotruk 6×4 dump truck. Tell us the material, the quantity, and the gate, and we will come back with a delivery window.
We are based at 758 Providence, East Bank Demerara, which puts the yard, the props, and the truck on the East Bank corridor. Mobilisation cost and lead time depend on how far a site sits from that base, so here is the honest version by corridor.
Providence · Diamond · Timehri
Our own corridor. Same-day mobilisation, rental items collected or dropped without a haulage premium, and completed rigid pavement at both Diamond and Providence to point at.
City centre and greater Georgetown
Under an hour from base outside of peak traffic. Deliveries are usually timed early to clear the city before the corridor backs up; site meetings can be same-week.
Haslington · Ann’s Grove
A day-trip corridor we know well. The asphaltic concrete road at Haslington Housing Scheme and the Ann’s Grove bridge rehabilitation are both ours. Crews travel out daily rather than camping on site.
West Coast Demerara · Essequibo Coast
River crossings put a schedule on the work. We plan around the crossing rather than against it: material moved in fewer, fuller loads and equipment staged on site for the duration instead of shuttling.
Linden · Berbice and the Corentyne
Highway hauls. Worth a mobilisation for a project of real size rather than a single load, so we quote these as staged deliveries with the equipment left on site between visits.
Lethem & Bon Fim, Region 9
The long one, over the Linden-Lethem road, and weather-dependent. Interior work is scheduled in blocks with a longer lead time so a trip carries a full scope, not one task.
