Find us in Providence

We are on the East Bank Demerara corridor, a short run from Georgetown and Diamond.

Send a project brief

Filling this in opens your own email app with the details already written into a message addressed to us. Nothing is sent until you press send in your email app, so keep a copy in your sent folder. If you would rather not use email, WhatsApp is the instant alternative.

Prefer to write it yourself? Email info@kbsengineering.gy.

Four things that make your enquiry quick to answer

None of this is compulsory. It just saves a round of questions, and it lets us tell you honestly whether the job is a fit before anyone wastes a week. Not sure which heading your work falls under? Read through the six services KBS delivers first.

  1. 1

    Where the site is

A village, street or region is plenty. Providence, Haslington, Linden, Corentyne: it tells us the travel and the ground conditions in one line.

  2. 2

    What the work involves

Road, structure, drainage, a design, a rental, or a load of sand or crusher run. If you only need machines on your own job, say so and skip straight to the equipment we rent out.

  3. 3

    Roughly when you need it

A month is enough. Knowing whether it is next week or next quarter changes what we can promise and who we can put on it.

  4. 4

    Whether drawings exist

Drawings, a bill of quantities, a tender document, or nothing yet. All three are normal, and starting from nothing is fine. For a sense of the scale we work at, see the projects KBS has completed and supervised.

Questions we get asked before the first call

Short, straight answers. Anything not covered here, ask us directly.

Which parts of Guyana does KBS Engineering work in?

Region 4 is home ground, and we travel for the work. Jobs to date cover Georgetown, Providence and Diamond on the East Bank Demerara, Haslington and Ann’s Grove on the East Coast Demerara, Linden, Berbice on the Corentyne, and Lethem. If your site sits somewhere else in Guyana, ask us and we will tell you plainly whether we can cover it.

Can I rent equipment from KBS without hiring you for the construction?

Yes. Equipment rental stands on its own. Contractors and site teams rent our plate compactor, two-sack mixer, concrete saw, blue metal props and blue-and-silver scaffolding for their own jobs, with no construction contract with KBS. Send the items, the quantities and the dates you need them, and we will come back on availability.

What is the difference between supervision and full construction?

On a supervision engagement another party builds the works and KBS provides the technical support and site supervision that keeps the work to specification. On a construction engagement KBS carries out the works itself. We keep the two apart on our projects page so nobody has to guess which is which.

Is KBS Engineering locally owned and Local Content certified?

Yes. KBS Engineering and Transportation Services is 100% locally owned and Local Content certified, and has been operating since 2020.

What is the fastest way to get a quote?

WhatsApp. Send the location, the type of work and your rough timeline and you are talking to the people who will do the job. Phones and WhatsApp are answered during working hours, Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 17:00. The enquiry form on this page is the slower route: it opens your own email app with the details already laid out for you to send.
