Our Story

In 2020, KBS Engineering and Transportation Services was born. We were not just another firm; we were purpose-built to meet the nation’s crucial need for reliable, high-calibre engineering and transportation.

Six years on, that purpose has not changed. From our base in Providence, East Bank Demerara, we deliver civil engineering, road construction, site supervision, equipment rental and construction material haulage for public and private sector clients throughout Georgetown, the East Coast, Linden, Berbice and the interior regions. The full range of engineering and construction services we offer is set out on our services page, and the work already on the ground is documented in our completed project briefs and supervision engagements.

We keep one line strictly drawn: work KBS has built and work KBS has supervised are recorded separately, and always will be. Tender evaluators deserve to read our record without having to untangle it.

Mrs. Kenietta Bacchus is an experienced executive with a proven track record in strategic management and public-private sector leadership since 2008. Grounded in finance, entrepreneurship, and project management, she leverages deep local expertise and rigorous oversight to meet evolving client needs.

Director of Operations

With a Master’s degree in Advanced Structural Engineering and over 14 years of civil engineering and project management experience, Mr. Bacchus oversees all operational activities for the company. His extensive track record spans major roadworks, structural developments, and complex infrastructure initiatives across Guyana. Recognized as a CSME Skilled National and trained in USF safety standards, he ensures every project meets peak structural integrity and operational efficiency.
